The Skyline Hotel logo design project focused on creating a visual identity that embodies luxury, exclusivity, and warmth. The logo explored combining the Garuda with the Hidimba Temple, a landmark tourist attraction in Manali that also holds deep personal significance for the hotel's promoter. This approach aimed to blend cultural heritage with spiritual resonance, creating a logo that reflects both the region's identity and the promoter's faith, while reinforcing the hotel's connection to its unique location.
The logo conveys growth and aspirations, aligning with the hotel's elevated location and premium offerings. The chosen color palette exudes sophistication while remaining inviting, reflecting the perfect balance of elegance and comfort. This design aims to establish a lasting impression of Skyline Hotel in the minds of its guests, encapsulating its distinctive character and welcoming ambiance.
Another option I explored was a minimalist representation of the Garuda icon in its simplest form, distilling it to the essence of its likeness. This approach was guided by the three characteristics of a great logo as defined by Sagi Haviv: appropriate, distinctive, and simple. The design transforms a basic rectangle into the bird's wings through carefully stylized contours and angles, achieving a balance of elegance and clarity. This minimalistic approach ensures a timeless, versatile logo that resonates with the hotel's identity.
